Local Substance Abuse Treatment Providers, ValueOptions of Kansas and Social & Rehabilitation Services to Launch 105 Balloons to Raise Awareness of Substance Use Disorders across the State of Kansas
More than 22 million people in the United States have been classified with substance use disorders in the past year. To raise awareness of this disease and inform people of the available treatment and recovery resources, local treatment providers, community organizations and ValueOptions of Kansas hosted a balloon launch in four areas across the state of Kansas. Each balloon launched represents each county in the state of Kansas that is affected by Substance Use Disorders. The balloon launch is part of the 22nd observance of National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month which is held in September.September 8. 2011- Valeo Behavioral Health Care – Topeka, Kansas
